Please contact me if you have a Control Wheel Lock for a 310R or if you know where I could find one to purchase.

I have not contacted Cessna Parts yet as I’m not even sure if they would have those in stock anymore. If you have any knowledge where I could find one, or even a part number, please contact me

The control lock is quite easy to make. It takes 3/16″ diameter steel or stainless steel rod. Grind a smooth bullet shape on one end. It is bent so that the rod comes out of the control column hole towards the right side. Then bend it down 90 degrees for 2 inches, then 120 degrees up for 2.5″, then parallel for 4 inches. The factory had a 2″X4″ piece of aluminum bent over and crimped along the parallel. It is painted red and says “Remove Before Flight” .

John, mine is a 0861153-1, control lock through the column with “flag” that hangs in front of the switches. Preferred Airparts has 15 in stock. You might call them.

          Rich,
I’ve looked Essco’s manuals before but never purchased one. Are they good quality reproductions? Does the download allow multiple downloads? Would it work on an iPad?

          Thanks
          Arie

I think so, Arie. The paper copies of the “Owner’s Manual” for my airplane are good quality. Original is in the airplane, copies on my desk, flight bag, night stand for study 😉

The parts manual … I downloaded to my desktop. PDF file. Copied it to my laptop, copied to a back-up disc and a USB plug-in. Put it on my iPad using the iBooks app. I’m sure I could put it on my Droid using Quickoffice…. but enough already 🙂 I’m happy with their product, FWIW.
