    I’m looking for a 1979 or later 340, preferably 4000TT or less, 530/430, KFC-200, Known Ice.

    Bump, Still Looking.

Glad to see you still looking Steve. I’ll pass on anything I find interesting.

Steve, I am curious why you are only looking for 1979 and later? There isn’t really much difference in all the 340A models (1976 and later). By the way, Cessna quit making 340s in 1981 but had so much inventory that they couldn’t sell them all until 1984. But every year they called it a new year plane even though they had been sitting outside on the ramp for 1 to 4 years.

Just had to restrict my search somewhat. Most of them from 79 on were FIKI, I like the control wheel better (they match the 182 that I had and the 210 that I own).

Are you flexible at all on any of the limits? Are there other limits (like price) you haven’t mentioned?

If you expand your search to 1978 or later (FIKI started in 1977), bump your time limit up to 4500 hours and consider paying for a used 430 installation, you’ll find four FIKI 340As with a KFC-200 on controller.com today. None of the four require you to slide on all three criteria – some are 1978, some are 4500 hours, and some are missing the second garmin GPS.

I’m sure that in the last 10 months at least a few exactly meeting your stated criteria have changed hands.

The best airplanes are always the “off market” ones. I have my ear to the ground.

      Thanks Dan!!

How much does the yoke bug you?

      1977, 3600TT, 530/430, KFC-200, FIKI.

What’s your budget? What engines are you looking for?

Wow! Nice looking plane. Only complaint is the yoke, and I think I can get past that!! I had missed this one. Thanks for the heads up!!!

Looks like it was just listed 2 days ago. Good luck!

Nice looking plane. It has had lots of flying since the overhauls-about 250 hours a year. But it hasn’t flown in over 3 months. $289K seems a bit strong for the current market.

One other I was looking at but passed on:

1981, FIKI, 3300TT, 530/430, KFC-200, low time RAM VII, R/STOL, fresh paint & annual. Not the cheapest, but very nice.

The catch? It’s located in Germany (but it is properly registered in America with an N-number.)

But there is a bunch of water in between. A friend bought a 303 in England last year and it cost over $30K to get it home; airline tickets, exit permits, taxes, $20 a gallon gas in Greenland, $16 a gallon in Iceland, hotels, prebuy, etc..
