Anybody out there have any thoughts on center consoles for older 310’s.

My airplane came with a custom center console made of wood, it was bulky, heavy and in the way when getting in and out of the left seat.

http://www.saircorp.com has some nice 310 center consoles, but they’re not cheap.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Butch,

Did you try any of the salvage yards? There’s got to be a number of old 310 frames out there you can grab up a console.

I think I saw a piece in one of the airplane magazines (ABS?) about a guy who had his duchess center console laser printed. I think he said since it was a simple piece it was only a couple hundred dollars. Of course my memory is not what it used to be.

SAir is really nice and they are friendly too.
Then there is also your local acrylic shop that can fabricate one according to your drawing. I did that on 2 planes I owned, cost <200$ a piece.
